Super event this with loads to see and do. One day is not enough to see it all. As well as hundreds of cars and bikes on display including some real exotica there is a hillclimb so you can see some iconic cars given the beans, an off road motorcycle stage,an off road rally raid stage, powerboats on the lake, group B rally cars on a short stage and a military batlefield area. Then there are airobatic displays too.

The venue is Cholmonderely castle in cheshire which is a beautifull location, the site is massive and dispite the rain on the evening before and the morning of our visit there was no mud, must well draining soil i guess.

We booked early so it only cost us 30 for the five of us,once inside as well as the usual expensive eateries we found a marqee serving food and drink run by a local church so prices were very reasonable.

Some parts were quite upmarket though......100 bottles of champers anyone?

We took the caravan and stayed on a campsite that belonged to a lovely pub called the bickerton poacher in the village of baulkley about 4 miles form Cholmonderley. A large pub with friendly staff and good home cooked food and only a short stagger back to the campsite!!!

On the saturday evening we visited chester which was only about 10 miles away and its about the same to the border with wales.

So all in all i can highly recomend the Pagent (i will certainly go again) I can also recomend the pub we stayed at, If you dont camp or caravan the pub has B&B rooms too.
